Slacking

I’ve been slacking on this again. But to be fair, we’ve been busy.

Over the weekend we had our local NADAC trial. No chances Qs but both girls had some other nice runs and we enjoyed seeing friends.

Gus is doing great on his house training and is patiently waiting for a home.

Riesling, who has been working out so well, apparently came with more issues than we knew. Not sure what the future holds for him. He can stay here as anlet for sure but riding is questionable currently. But he did help with the fence.

We’ve been working hard to finish our home remodel before the girls get here. Current project kitchen cabinets.

Stay tuned for updates! Hopefully!

And then there is this goober being naughty at work.

The unusual: Part 14

1. Owner presented dog with a skin condition. She had treated it with bleach water and coconut oil and couldn’t imagine what it could be when that didn’t work. It was a hot spot.

2. Dog ate rat poison. They called their vet to ask advise and were given very specific advise on how to give peroxide. Instead they gave chewing tobacco. They must had second thoughts about this and called our clinic to ask what to do.

3.  Owner gave a lengthy story about how there were 40-50 lb feral cats living near his home because someone released “miniature” bengal tigers into the wild and they were breeding with the normal sized feral cats.

4.  Client asked if they could get diarrhea from their dog. I’m not sure if this was in general or in regards to zoonotic diseases.

5.  Thanks to my colleague for getting this one. Dog had a shoulder wound and owner wanted to know why blood from the heart wasn’t spurting out of it.  Same owner poured water on the wound and when confronted denied it despite the yowling dog and puddle of bloody water on the floor.

6.  Clinic got an email asking the best food for a “chorkie”

7.  Owner presented dog for licking her “privates” and then noted it was mainly when the husband was around and could she be “pleasuring herself” because she read that on google. I’m not sure what she actually googled because “dog licking vulva” will NOT get you those results!

More UKC

Last weekend we were sniffing again. Back to Tulsa for more UKC. Legend wrapped up her  aster interior and her master nosework with a second place. And then she got a keg of her elite vehicles. Three hides, seven vehicles, 1:51 for first place. Just three more Qs to get her EN!

Epic finished up both his advanced vehicles (in the intense heat) and his advanced interiors (first place). We played in superior vehicles on Sunday but he’s just really not ready. Time to buckle down on so,w training before moving on to big dog classes!

Legend’s fancy master Nosework ribbon

The rest. Since we are painting (again, still, you choose) I don’t have a good photo spot cleared out. So this is a chair.

Happy Birthday Epic

This little guy is two years old. And we couldn’t imagine life without him!
