Spring Break Part 1

First of all, let me just say I'm pretty proud that I got all the paperwork right and we took two children  under the age of 18, who aren't ours, and are both residents of countries other than the US out of the country and back in with no issues.  Everything went very smoothly and I only help my breath a tiny bit!

We left as soon as the girls got off school Friday.  The first night we drove to Nashville.  The beginning of break pretty much looked like this.

The next day we drove all the way to the Port Canaveral area.  We had a nice dinner at the beach in the dark.

The next day we go to sleep in a bit.  Then headed to the port but stopped at the beach in the daytime along the way.

Then it was onto the ship! The boarding process went smoothly but we arrive at the earliest boarding which meant we had to drag our carry on luggage around for over an hour.  But we enjoyed some lunch and relaxed.  Then we got settled in our room and explored the boat for awhile before having a good dinner in the dining room and checking out some of the ship entertainment.

The next day was a sea day. We had family breakfast in shirts sent to us from my sister.

 Then we did  a group craft activity.  After that we sent the girls do whatever they wanted and we spent most of the day at the pool.

 During formal dinner night they had fun using the fancy staircase for photos.

 We are unsure of what this towel creature is.

Random photos and stuff

Once again weather forecasters were wrong about the "snow" we were supposed to have.  Instead of 4-6 inches we barely got one.  And based on the forecast my Nosework trial for today was cancelled so now we are just hanging out at home. 

I did get some new photo software for my laptop so at least I've been learning about that.  There are some things I like, but it's missing some of the features of photoshop I liked.  And I'm sure there is a ton I just haven't figured out yet.

 Meanwhile Epic thinks he needs his own stool.

 The puppies learning some cooking skills. Lucy got adopted yesterday so Wyatt has moved into the house with the other dogs.  Our barn is empty of puppies for the first time since the middle of October.  The cats are quite pleased to have their space back.  I've been quite pleased with how well Wyatt is doing with crate and house training in just the first day.  No screaming for hours and able to do a good job of "holding" it.

Epic and I ran a 5K yesterday for the shelter he came from.  Not much competition but we did win our (my) age group.

And the best news of all, spring break is almost here!

Just another puppy post

The puppies are growing.  They are silly and sweet and very much in need of homes!  Flynn got adopted this weekend and his his very own teenage girl.  Now there is just Lucy and Wyatt.  Hopefully the perfect homes will come along soon.  Cassie went to a coworker and is doing great with a buddy and her own little boy.  Candy and Autumn are still waiting.  Poor Autumn has had zero applications.  

In other news it has been muddy.  Then freezing.  Then muddy again.  I've been working a lot and very much looking forward to spring break. 

Food day and other things

Sweet autumn has not gotten any applications yet. And for that matter Candy hasn’t gotten anybwe have liked. Even though everyone wanted a female, she’s the last of her litter to get  adopted. 

This weekend was international food day for our exchange group. All the food was was wonderful and I was beyond stuffed!





It’s been wet and rainy so lots of time in the barn staying dry. 

Hopefully a puppy will get adopted this weekend! I was hoping for more, but a few apps fell through. Cassie goes to a new home tomorrow. 

Updates of the week

The girls are hunting prom dresses.  It was fun to go with them and see what they tried on.  They both looked stunning and I'm sure the final choices will be amazing.  One of them already chose but I'm bot giving any hints until it's time for the official pics. 

 Saturday Jerry went to a reggae event in town so the girls and I did Valentine's crafts.  These were super easy and turned out super adorable.

 And Jerry was glad there were Starburst leftover.  Autumn helped Jerry with his math counts emails. She's good help.

 Riesling and I loaded up and headed over to a friend's barn to ride I the arena since the weather was so nice.  He did great and even "jumped" a few crossrails.  He didn't really seem to know what he as doing but he didn't see opposed to trying.  He did not, however, want to get in the trailer to go home so we will be working on that in the next few weeks.  He's usually pretty easy to load so not sure why he wouldn't go tonight.

Jiya, now Ivy, got adopted today.  In a small world coincidence her adopter and I used to read each others blogs.  She doesn't still blog but still so crazy.  It was a perfect match and I'm so excited for both of them.  Ivy will be a city pup hanging in Central Park and we will try to visit them next time we got to NYC!

Rufus will be adopted by a previous adopter, volunteer, and friend.  I'm also so excited for them.  We have some there nice app pending and the whole Time Team may be gone soon!  Candy has no apps pending and we have not even had one app on Autumn.  Cassie has a meet and greet Wednesday so slowly but surely we are getting them all to new homes!
