Cuteness and randomness

How cute are they? I mean, seriously, so cute.

Just some fun stuff

Adopt me!

We thought we may have a local foster home for Guinness but that's didn't work out. So rather than ship him to Kansas where we have other dogs waiting for fosters I decided he could just stay here. He did a great job on his "adopt me" photos and is ready to go!

Bathroom facelift

And here is yet another project in the never ending job of home ownership. We never really loved the wallpaper in this bathroom but it was tolerable.

After 13 years though I decided to do something different.

We wanted to re-use our artwork so I kept similar colors but painted the walls and the woodwork. I think it turned out super cute.

I made the case of flowers for the vanity and also these cute succulent jars. The final touches will be new light switches and plates as well as a new faucet for the sink and some fresh caulk. Should be a good upgrade!

In and out

Nike got adopted this week! Hopefully they are ok with all her stubbornness and quirks. So far so good I hear.

In the meantime we took in this guy.

Guinness is about a one year old male. He was a stray that was never claimed and running out of time.

These pics don't really do him justice. He's quite handsome. Especially now that's he's had a bath. He's full of energy but very sweet. He loves playing with Epic. And although he's obviously not had much training he's doing pretty well in the limited time we have spent with him. He got neutered today and will eventually go to another foster home.

Random stuff

Pretty pic from my run

Flowers in the yard-the first one with special effects obviously.

Our new MOKAN shirts. I didn't draw the BC-that's our logo-but the rest was my idea. The other one was completely designed by me.

Our pretty girl.

More fall crafts

Since we are having some rescue booths this fall I decided to make a few more fall crafts for sale or raffle baskets. I think they turned out cute.

I also made my sister a present for her new house

And a new sign for our house.

Life with puppies

This happens regularly

And then there is this silly boy. He keeps us laughing for sure.

But he's a good boy. He graduated from his first set of obedience classes.

And here he is showing off his skills at Lowe's

Tulsa Day 2

Long day.  But, Legend passed both her Master Container runs to earn her title with two first places.  I could not be more proud of her container searches this weekend.  She was efficient, confident and rock solid.

She also got one leg of her Superior exterior title.  In the second round she found one hide and false alerted on an object she kept going back to.  I don't know if it was a distractor (she usually doesn't show consistent interest in those) or if it had a hide on it in a previous search and had lingering odor (UKC "reuses" areas and potentially items.  This looked like the object the hide was on previously but they had several of these things and I can't say for sure), or none of the above.  Guess I'll never know but she didn't seem all that interested in any other items so I'm curious as to where it actually was.  But of course 7/8 isn't bad at all!

In total she earned three new titles, two high in trials, four firsts, two seconds, and one third.  Good girl!

Tulsa Day 1

Eventually I'll get around to any cute pictures or interesting things that happened in the last two weeks.

Meanwhile Legend and I headed to Tulsa for a UKC Nosework trial. She rocked all her searches today! She earned her advanced exterior title with two second places and her superior container title with two first places! She even got High in Trial for the afternoon superior container trial.

I'm really happy with her solid container performances. She was an absolute rock in both runs. More like we used to be and it was a huge confidence boost. Hopefully tomorrow goes well as we move up a level in each division. It should still be very doable, considering her training level, and NACSW experience but nothing is a given.

Speaking of NACSW we are five on the waitlist for the November trial and I'm keeping an eye out for trials in the spring.

I think she's enjoying her time away from the other dogs.
