More cool and fun vet stuff

This is a new MOKAN dog.  We don't know how long his hip has been out of socket but he had surged this week and will be available once he recovers!

Pet chameleon that belongs to a tech.  I got to hang out with him!

This is a 120 lb mastiff a local rescue brought in.  We put him in a Snuggie after his surgery.

These next two photos are of a dog with a chronic cough but also a strange thickening in his legs.  I think the lung and bone lesions are related, possibly systemic fungal infection.

Catching up

Spoiled pups. Seamus and Amos are still waiting to be adopted but they don't seem to mind.

 Getting ready for Christmas!

I kicked all the other dogs outside so Legend could play inside.  It made her very happy.

 Chilly dogs...
Last night was our Christmas party at work.  Picture taking took a turn for the worse at the end of the night...

Holiday weekend fun

We go to spend the long holiday weekend at home.  The animals seemed to enjoy it.

Welcome Amos

Amos is our newest foster boy!  This cutie was part of a group being given away on Craigslist for free after the "breeder" died.  He's about 10 months old and doing great, just needs to gain some confidence.  As you can see he already has plenty of cuteness.

Happy 14th!

Nov 25th was Legend's 14th birthday.  We are extra thankful to get to celebrate this birthday.  She didn't think the cake I made was fantastic but did eat some.  I also shared a little steak with her, and lets face it-anytime she doesn't seen like she wants dog food we give her something better anyway.  But it was a really nice day and we got to play some ball outside and she even jumped in her pool.  Her bloodwork is currently better than it has been in months so we just keep plugging along and she seems quite happy and perky!

Agility Weekend

Last weekend Epic and I went to Oklahoma for a NADAC trial.  There were lots of nice things but I was a little disappointed in some of the things that we have been working on that did not go well.  But overall he's still showing a lot of potential and having a lot of fun.  When we get it all together it could be great!  He did pick up 4 Qs and finished his novice regular title.  And we got to see many friends and have a good visit!  That is the end of our trials for this year.  Over the winter will probably focus on Nosework and obedience for weather and daylight reasons.  But we hope to do agility in January so will try to squeeze some training in during any nice weather!

Dental day

Epic had a dental this week. Here are various photos documenting his recovery and pampering in the clinic.

I also did a little crafting this week. But I sure miss my crafting buddies!

Meanwhile, Seamus watches the snow and waits for a home.

We are getting a bunch of new dogs into rescue. Excited to have some new volunteers and staying busy keeping up with all the transport and paperwork and medical stuff!
