Sweets

Well we didn't get the best news from the cardiologist.  Sweets already has a Grade 5/6 murmur and was diagnosed with moderate subaortic stenosis which is congenital condition that is genetic.  If it does not progress he could live a relatively normal life, but if its does progress he would likely have a very shortened life.  Unfortunately this condition tends to progress though the first 6-12 months of life.  So for now he's "off the market" and we will take him back to the cardiologist in December to see if there are any changes.  In the meantime he's having a great time playing and learning tricks and commands just generally being cute.

More Agility

We had our first annual August GOAL trial this month.  Despite COVID, another success.  Epic ran in several open classes and even finished his first open title in regular and will move up to elite next trial. My original plan was to get more of the outstanding novice and maybe open titles, but with COVID cancelling much of the spring and part of the summer trials, I decided to move him on up as I have a goal of Champs in 2022, with an outside chance of 2021.

Legend got to run in tunnels and finished her Outstanding Intro Tunnelers title!  Looking forward to the fall!

Pupdates!

Sweets has his cardio appt Friday. The rest of the puppies got adopted today! So he gets all the attention now.

Hope loves playing with epic and seamus and being around us, but not so much being petted or cuddling. She got a bath and looks so pretty!

Epic ran a 5k with me and seemed to have fun

We found a little water left for some playtime

Obedience, sort of. And other things.

We gave novice obedience  a shot last weekend and it really didn’t go as planned. First run we passed with a 181 which is not really as good as we did in beginner. Next run was a to total train wreck. So we scratched the final two runs that weekend. I was pretty bummed about it. Not ready to give up but also not ready to go buy jumps for open! He’s so good at other sports and obedience is so time consuming we will just see what happens. Maybe try to finish CD later on and go from there.

In other news, cute cat pics

We expanded our paver sidewalk. And by we I mean mainly jerry. It’s turning out good!

Jadeed is off at the trainer so that means Riesling gets to do all the work. I have a trail ride scheduled for him in a few weeks so we will see how that goes!
