Busy Easter

We spent the long weekend at my parents taking in some St. Louis sights and seeing family.  First stop was the zoo.  It was a bit chill but we got to see a lot of animals and were able to warm up in the indoor exhibits.

Next day was warmer and sunnier and a great day to see the Arch!

Then off to the science center.  We didn't get to spend a lot of time here but we it was enough to wear everyone out!  Then today was spent going to church, eating, visiting and taking photos in the yard.

Random stuff

Autumn, Candy, and Wyatt are still here. And it’s time for them to get adopted. Candy will make someone an awesome sports dog. Wyatt would be a great pet. Autumn needs a runner to adopt her!

Meanwhile, Wyatt’s ears are all over the place.

And here are some flower photos.

Happy birthday Riesling

Last week would have been Squirt’s 23rd birthday. It was also Riesling’s 13th. He still a project. And is some ways he will never be normal. But he came along when I needed him and he sure needed me. I think we’ve come along way this year and home he continues to trust me even more as time passes. Happy birthday handsome.

Nosework weekend.

We spent the weekend at the local NACSW trial. I served as volunteer coordinator, as usual. Saturday, Legend bad a blast being dog in white for the elite trial. I put in an u known amount of miles up and down the Missouri hills keeping everything going smoothly. And we finished early! Both then we just went back to the hotel to crash we were so tired. The girls came and did volunteer hours.

Sunday we were greeted by spring snow in the morning.

Luckily it didn’t last long and everyone arrived safely. By afternoon I ditched my coat and it was a beautiful day.

It was a longer day though and we eventually made it home and relaxed a few hours before the weekend was over!

Spring has sprung

Before we mow I used this flower patch in the front yard for a photo op.

Spring cleaning equine edition

Working on getting these guys more presentable. I think we are making progress! And got in a good ride as well!

Mizzou weekend

We scheduled the girls a college visit at Mizzou on Friday.  We had a good presentation, tour and of course some photo ops! Of course it looks like the drive there was not that exciting.

Another important part of this trip was to find the brick we purchased through the alumni association.  And we were successful!  We also recreated a wedding photo!

The next day happened to be vet school open house which I hadn't been to since I was actually in vet school.  Lindsay joined us for part of the day and everyone had a good time and I had a trip down memory lane.

We got to see Hexnut ( Treat) as an up and coming disc dog!
Lindsay showed the girls how to be brave and palpate the fistulated cow.
Mariyam gloved up and went in but I think she may have regretted that decision. Umama declined to go inside the cow.
We tried to get them to do the cow milking but no such luck.  But these cuties were good posers!
Of course we took a mule ride and I got to see Dr. Dodam briefly.
We also did tours of the clinic.  It's crazy how some things never change, like the way the equine clinic always smells the same.

We ended our Columbia trip by taking the girls to Andy's for the first time!  I can't believe it took us 8 months but it was delicious!
