Thanksgiving weekend

We headed to my parent's house wednesday afternoon for a long weekend of fun and family.  We had traditional thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.
Then we studied the ads for some black friday (or thursday, we did both) shopping.
Successful purchases were made by all.

Friday night all the ladies attended Aladdin at the Fox and everyone had a great time.
Saturday we went to a craft fair and then to a Christmas festival in old town St. Charles.  And no shortage of photos were taken each day.

There was a tiny pile of snow left at my parent's house and they enjoyed playing with that!

But first

We had a fun and busy weekend to blog about.  But first I can't miss a very important day! Happy 13th birthday to Legend!  Can't imagine my life without her and and the amazing journey she has taken me on.  The 88 titles in three sports we have earned together are only part of the many memories we have together.  She deserves this cookie and more! But she did have to share.

Puppy play

Puppies are getting fun and getting rowdy!

Clyde and Epic are playing some too.

Riding success

Riesling and I went on an outing! I successfully loaded and trailered him by myself over to a friend’s farm. We had a great ride in the arena d he even went through the puddles. Then I was able to back the trailer and turn around myself!

Just for fun.

IEW Week success!

The girls got the chance to make a ton of presentations this week at school. We are amazed and happy that the school was so much more proactive and interested this year.

We are super proud of the extra effort both girls put in to crest extra displays and make their presentations unique. Mariyam had a fun idea of having the students write down their impression of Pakistan before and after her talk and it was fun to read the results.

Snow

We had the tiniest amount of snow last week. But the girls were pretty excited about it. She sent these photos when they got off the bus.

One month

The puppies are now a month old. They are eating, playing and making noise and messes! They are very cute. Tonight they all got baths and a second round of deworming. We tried to get some cute individual photos but we weren’t super successful. We did get a few good ones though.

Family volunteering

The girls are collecting service hours for an end of year award. And since we didn’t decide to run the dogwood canyon trail race this year we all signed up to volunteer. We worked aid station 4, which I hear is the best. We had fun, although the organization of volunteers and instructions were pretty lacking.

We came prepared with blankets and hand and toe warmers and everyone survived. We also had another local teenager volunteer with us and I think everyone enjoyed chatting and working together.
