Riesling's fancy photos

We had the chance to do a mini session with an amazing local equine photographer.  I could not really love these more.  She did a great job.  He looks like such a fancy boy!

River swim

I took Epic and Sweets on an outing the other day to the "river" which actually is a small river but right now is so low I can walk across.  There were placed deep enough the dogs had to swim a bit.  Epic likes the water but is not a big swimmer, he mostly likes to chase the other dogs while they play fetch.  Sweets does not really fetch but does love the water and was a very natural swimmer.  So it was hard to really keep them entertained but they did play some and sweets got a lot of swimming practice. Epic swam a little which was good practice for him as well.

The old the young and Seamus

Legend had been a slow decline the last few weeks and was feeling pretty down late last week.  And so was I.  But I put her on some fluids and started her on some steroids (among other things) and I'm not fully convinced renal disease is her only issue but cannot find anything else definitive.  Anway, she's doing quite a bit better now.  We have no idea how  much time we have bought but we will take whatever we get as long as she seems happy.

Here's come cute pics of the old girl and her trusty ball.

And here are some cute pics of sweets, because he's so cute!  And also Seamus, who is also cute.

First outdoor trial

Epic and I went to our first outdoor trial last weekend.  He was a little bothered by the heat, and very distracted by his Aunt Cheri but overall some good things happened.  Lots of success on contracts, discriminations, distance and overall course running-when he was running the course! He finished 3 titles and earn this first points in Elite!  We are hoping to qualify for champs next fall but our official goal is 2022, so 2021 would be a bonus!  We're off to nose work-finally-next weekend and more agility after that!

Birthdays and running

Friday we went to a winery to celebrate a few birthdays and had a nice afternoon out

Then Saturday i ran the virtual half again with cheri on a different portion of the katy trail. Today my parents visited and then we  did some barn work. I also got most of the dogs groomed and made more candles. Overall a productive weekend!

Happy birthday Seamus

We have no idea what day or year he was born, but we had to pick a day to celebrate so we used October 1st!

Trail ride

I finally managed to take a Riesling on a trail ride. We went to the nearby state park and jerry came along as “ground crew” for safety and as a bonus photos! Riesling was kind of a jerk getting saddled but then was great! He was really well behaved and not spooky. I had to lead him through the we’re but otherwise I was super happy with him. So I guess we will continue working oh his trail career.

Riesling also had a photo shoot this weekend. Here is a sneak peak. I can’t wait to see the rest.
