These are pictures of our "wet-weather" creek after the storms today. There is almost never water in it and I have never seen it this high. It actually flooded the road further down past our house. Fortunately all the tornadoes and severe weather missed us!

Seven Random Things

My friend Sarah tells me I now have been "tagged" and need to post 7 random things about myself

1. I have 13 pets (I think-hard to keep track)
2. My favorite singer is Kenny Chesney
3. I can't sleep with socks on-ever
4. I grew up to be a veterinarian but there are a few times it just wasn't worth it (dirty, biting chihuahuas!)
5. Most of my free time is spent doing dog sports (obviously)
6. I have been to Hawaii but never out of the country
7. I constantly need to know what time it is and can't go anywhere without a watch

Rally Trial

Saturday at the Rally trial in Moberly Zodiac went in the Advanced class for the first time and would have got a perfect score if I hadn't skipped a sign and messed him up. Legend went into the ring for the very first time and got leg #1 on her Rally Novice title but handler error kept her out of the placements. Sunday though we all got our act together and Zodiac got the first perfect score of the weekend to place first and get his first RA leg. Legend followed his example by looking like a pro and gettting the second perfect score of the weekend and placed first getting her second RN leg. She also placed 1st and 2nd in pre-novice this weekend. Here are some pictures-some of them are kind of fuzzy.

Upcoming Rally trial

Well I have made the commitment and entered Legend in her first trial. She will be competing at Moberly in June in Rally Novice and Obedience Pre-novice. Hopefully the Pre-novice will go well because I hope to enter her in Regular Novice at Sedalia in July. Zodiac is entered in Rally Advanced at Moberly and with any luck he will do as well in that as he did in Novice (two firsts and one third with scores of 100/100, 100/100 and 99/100). Zodiac will continue to work on utility exercises with a goal of competing at that level at BC nationals this fall (maybe!).

In other news we would like everyone to pray for Jerry's friend Blaine who is fighting an aggressive brain tumor. He is currently taking part in a clinical trial with a new drug but has thus far not been responding well. He appreciates everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Here are Jelly and Legend taking a nap in the sun. A rarity for Legend but pretty common for Jelly!

We are leaving for vacation tomorrow. We will be visiting family in Arizona, seeing the Grand Canyon and then heading to San Diego to see friends and sight see. We will also be going to Thursday's taping of the Tonight Show! I'm sure I will have some pictures to share when we get back.

Legend finished the first level of official agility classes tonight and is doing well enough to move up to the next class-all the instuctors (and me) are excited to see how good she is going to be someday!

New Kitty

This is our newest addition "Icy." She was found by some people during the ice storm this winter unable to walk or eat. We ended up taking her in b/c the people couldn't take care of her. She had a broken jaw, broken tooth, missing tooth, and her pelvis was broke in 3 places. I stabilized her jaw by flashlight b/c we had no power in the clinic and after a few weeks she acted like her pelvis had never been broken. She runs and plays like crazy now-the only thing we have left to fix is her tooth.

And so he doesn't get left out-here is a picture of Oreo (he's getting gray but still active and feeling great!)
