Pet portraits

Earlier this year we had a professional photographer come to the clinic and even though our house is filled with pet pictures I still signed up. But as you can see the results were worth it. I liked the dog pictures so well I brought Icy (who posed like a little princess) and Jelly (very much against her wishes) in the next day. We had Legend done alone because we don't have any professional pictures done of her yet and then we had Zodiac done alone because he wouldn't put his ears up in the group shots (just in case you were wondering why Oreo didn't get his own!)

Doggie Sweater

One of our clients knits dog sweaters to sell in our retail area-but this one she made just for Legend. Doesn't it look cute? It's actually purple but it shows up kind of blue in the pictures.

Boat Ride

We recently got a small boat/raft and this weekend we were able to take it out on the Finley River-the small river that runs through Ozark. We got off to a rough start before ever getting to the water though. First we didn't know if we had an adapter on our air compressor to fit the the boat so we could inflate it so while we were out buying paddles (which did not come with the boat) we got a small pump that would work. Of course it had to be charged first so we ended up finding a way to use the air compressor anyway. Then one of our oars fell off the truck on the way to the river and we never found it so we had to go with one paddle for the day. The Finley has virtually no current so we only made a short trip but here are some pictures of the ducks in the park that swam up to us while we floated.

Berries

Three years ago I attempted to grow my own raspberries and three years later the plants that managed to survive despite all my hard work have produced about a total of two dozen berries. So last year I decided to also try blackberries. In only their second summer the three plants I set out have gone crazy and are almost producing more berries right now than I can eat by myself. Someday I hope the raspberry bushes do as well but in the meantime here are some pictures of my blackberry crop.

Oreo's MRI

Good news-the MRI did not show any masses. There were some changes around the pituitary that the neurologists felt were more consistent with a possible acute episode of bleeding. So right now we are just monitoring blood pressure, urine output and anxiety for the next month or two. At that time if he is not better we will probably do a test to determine is he is able to concentrate his urine at all or not and/or repeat the MRI

Oreo

After several weeks of producing unconcentrated urine, followed by the onset of episodes of restlessness and anxiety, and ultimately decreased appetite, along with failure of any test I did to find out what was going on I took Oreo to the Veterinary teaching hospital to see some of my old teachers yesterday. We performed an abdominal ultrasound and chest radiographs which were normal so it was decided that he should have an MRI to rule out a brain lesion. He will have this test done tomorrow and we are anxiously awaiting the results.
Here are some cute pictures of Icy, Legend, and Zodiac.
