Jingle all the way

Despite the 70 degree weather (which is great for running) it's starting to look a lot like Christmas around here.

Yesterday Cheri and I ran the Jingle Bell Run 5K in the morning.
Then Jerry and I went out and pcked up our Christmas presents.  We updgraded our cell phones which required a trip to Best Buy.  On a saturday.  During the holiday shopping season.  But we got it done.

On the way home we picked up a tree.  But not without a lot of moaning and groaning about the sap on our hands as we picked through all the trees.  And yes, this is very early for us to get a tree.  I'm not much into holiday decorating so we usually procratinate getting a tree until mid-december.  The plus side of this approach is that the trees are usually on clearance.  We had to pay full price this year.

Despite my lack of enthusiasm for Christmas decorating there are some good things about it.  Like this guy-how cute is he?
And finally here is the obligatory tree photo.

It seems we are down to only one working strand of lights and not enough garland for this size tree.  Also our shiny red and silver balls are looking a bit rough. Might be time to invest in some new decorations.  When they are on clearance of course!

Pretty tree! I hear ya, hard to think about getting ready for Christmas when we nearly slept with the windows open last night! The ICDOC agility trial is this weekend and that's frequently good for a blizzard or ice storm but looks like we'll be okay this year.
