Happy Holli-days

Yeah.  You knew that was coming right?

Here are some better pics of Holli now that she is more settled in and playing.  The vet check on her app was not acceptable so she is still available!

And here is the face of insane cuteness

And two pretty dogs

Tomorrow is my first day helping out doing spays and neuters at a semi-local shelter/low cost spay/neuter clinic.  I guess I'm not technically volunteering since they are paying me but I am giving up what would be otherwise free time to help out (which they very much need) and service the community and the pet overpopulation.  So it seems to benefit everyone.  Can't beat that can you?

Lots of cuteness there. What do they ask the vets on reference checks?

So much cuteness in one post! Holli looks like a doll, I'm sure she'll find a great home soon!

Sue, I can't speak for this rescue, but our shelter calls potential adopter's vets to make sure that their current animals are up to date on all of their vaccinations and that they have a good history of getting medical care for their pets. We don't specifically ask for their opinion of a person as a pet owner, but sometimes they offer extra things like, "Mrs. Jones is one of our favorite pet owners and really goes above & beyond for her animals," in which case that certainly doesn't hurt their chances if there are multiple applications on a particular animal. ;o)

We will also get history on previous pets for the same reasons.

Lyric is so cute; but do think she knows it?

Good job, that is really great you are willing to give up your free time, a big help for the community. Holli is adorable, I love that first picture and what a lucky girl to have someone make sure she goes to a home worthy of her, she deserves that.
